  • Jennifer Eisele

    DVM

Dr. Eisele earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 where she graduated cum laude. After graduation, she began her career as a veterinarian in private practice for over 5 years and then spent over 11 years in Emergency Medicine. She is excited to return to a mix of both worlds in providing preventative care, surgery, and urgent care services at Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital. In 2000, when Dr. Eisele's high school class opened up their time capsule, her kindergarten self had professed she wanted to be a veterinarian (or pet shop owner) and this never wavered as she grew up. Dr. Eisele was accepted into the PreVeterinary Scholars program and entered veterinary school at the age of 19, after only 2 years of undergraduate studies. She has always loved working with animals and has come to love the variety of skills veterinary medicine has let her obtain and practice. Dr. Eisele's husband, Dr. Howard Eisele, is also a veterinarian who currently works in private practice. They have two children, Violet and Genevieve, and love outdoor activities such as horseback riding, swimming, camping, and traveling in their free time. They currently enjoy the company of two rambunctious lab mixes named Lavender and Sunflower, and the herd of horses down at the family farm in Rolla, MO where she grew up.

  • Melanie Mercer

    DVM

Dr. Melanie Mercer is an associate Veterinarian at Fox Creek Veterinary Hospital. She practices full-time at our sister location in Wildwood and occasionally practices at Manchester. Dr. Mercer earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1989 from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. She is a CCRT (Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist) and is specially trained in canine anatomy and physiology, conditions and injuries commonly referred for rehabilitation, physical therapy assessment techniques, manual therapy, physical modalities, and therapeutic exercise, and neurological rehabilitation. Dr. Mercer's areas of special interest include canine sports medicine and shelter medicine. Dr. Mercer began working in the veterinary field in 1989 as a Veterinary Bacteriologist before she transitioned to clinical veterinary practice for companion animals in 1990. As a child, Dr. Mercer never had any doubt that she wanted to become a veterinarian. Her favorite part about the field is that no two days are ever the same. Dr. Mercer grew up in the St. Louis area and is so excited to be returning after living in Texas for the past 18 years. Dr. Mercer has lots of dogs and is active in the world of competitive purebred dog sports, including conformation competition, lure coursing and open field coursing, and amateur dog racing with sighthounds. Dr. Mercer is also involved with the Irish Wolfhound Club of America, the American Saluki Association, and purebred dog rescues. In her free time, Dr. Mercer enjoys Olympic-style fencing and attending Science Fiction conventions and Renaissance Festivals.

  • Audra O'Keefe

    DVM

Dr. Audra O'Keefe was raised on a hobby beef farm in southwestern Missouri and quickly figured out that she would rather care for the barn cats than the cattle. She attended both undergraduate and veterinary school at the University of Missouri and graduated with her doctorate in 2018. Following veterinary school, Dr. O'Keefe decided it was time to escape the humidity of the Midwest and move to Montana where she practiced as an emergency veterinarian at a 24-hour small animal emergency clinic, and then became the medical director of a small animal general practice. After not seeing her immediate family for an extended period of time during the COVID pandemic, Dr. O'Keefe decided it was time to leave Big Sky Country and move back home to Missouri. She now enjoys working as a traveling relief veterinarian, helping to fill in to give the doctors at Fox Creek a much-needed break! She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but especially loves caring for senior patients, making sure they're comfortable and happy in their golden years, and doing complicated soft tissue surgeries. In her spare time, you can find Dr. O'Keefe spending time with her husband, son, three dogs, and two cats.
